The corner sofa with a chaise lounge was brought in for cleaning with pronounced darkening, ingrained stains of domestic and organic origin that had accumulated in the upholstery over approximately five years. The dirt had deeply penetrated the fabric structure, accompanied by persistent odors and visually distorted the color of the light upholstery. Our technician performed a professional dry cleaning with a complete processing cycle: the use of enzymatic agents, solvent-based compositions, specialized neutral agents, universal and narrow-profile stain removers, acid rinsing to neutralize detergents and normalize acidity, as well as odor neutralization. As a result of the dry cleaning, the upholstery became noticeably lighter, clean, and fresh, free from stains and foreign odors, which is clearly visible in the photos taken after the work was completed.
We received a request for professional dry cleaning of a corner sofa with a chaise lounge in an apartment in Barcelona. The client reported significant darkening of the upholstery, uneven color, and pronounced dirt in areas of active use. The sofa, which seats three with a chaise lounge, was made of light textile upholstery that, over a long period of use, absorbed dust, skin oils, organic contaminants, and foreign odors.
Before starting the work, a diagnosis of the fabric and the degree of contamination was conducted. In the preparatory phase, professional enzyme-based products were used to break down organic contaminants, including traces of sweat, grease, beverages, as well as possible remnants of biological stains. The main stage included deep extraction cleaning of all elements of the sofa: seating areas, backs, armrests, and the chaise lounge. Universal stain removers, stain removers for ingrained stains, as well as specialized compositions for removing traces of paint, blood, vomit, and other complex contaminants were used in problematic areas. Mechanical processing allowed for effective extraction of dirt from deep within the fibers.
After the main washing, treatment with acidic rinses was performed. Acidic rinsing was used to neutralize residues of cleaning agents and normalize the acidity of the fabric, which stabilizes the fibers, improves the appearance of the upholstery, and reduces the risk of re-contamination. The final stage involved treatment with odor neutralizers.
As a result of the dry cleaning, the upholstery became noticeably lighter, the color was evened out, the fabric structure was restored, and foreign odors were eliminated. The difference is clearly visible in the before-and-after photos.
