This project involved the professional cleaning of a children’s rug heavily marked with chewing gum, felt-tip pen ink, spilled drinks, and food stains.
For kids’ textiles, achieving a clean appearance is not enough — disinfection and safety are essential since children often play directly on the rug.
We started with a special enzymatic pre-treatment to dissolve organic residues and sticky substances like gum and food.
Then, using the injection–extraction cleaning system, we deeply removed embedded dirt, moisture, and bacteria without damaging the rug’s fibres.
For complete hygiene, we applied steam disinfection, eliminating microorganisms and dust mites safely and effectively, without harsh chemicals.
The cleaning process was followed by professional deodorisation and a gentle textile fragrance, leaving a pleasant and lasting sense of freshness.
Finally, we applied a StainShield-style protective coating, helping repel future spills and making the rug easier to maintain, especially in high-use play areas.
